Copyright

Copyright is issue for the area involving literary work such as, literary work, dramatic work, musical notes, artistic works, producers of cinematograph films and sound recordings done in films. Copyright gives the author complete authority to create their own content and use that as one wants and any other person other than owner cannot use that content as their which would attract penal offence. Copyright lasts till the life time of the author/creator in addition to 60 years after the death of the owner.

Here are few of the basic documents which are needed for getting copyright in different types of works: –

1. Two soft copies of the original work which is to be copyrighted.
2. Demand draft
3. No Objection Certificate from the authors/owner/ people who all are involved in the particular literary work.
4. No Objection Certificate from the publisher (in case whose work is getting published and the publisher is different.)
5. If any photograph is being used then No Objection Certificate from the person whose photograph is being published.

Time period

The entire process of copyright takes place within 6 to 8 months in case no abjection arises and the application moves forward smoothly but in case the objection arises then bot the parties re called for clearing the objection where it can take upto 10 to 12 months for the grant of copyright.
